Score of the Month – Luxe Casual Wear

We are continuing our series of blog posts where will be highlighting one of our favorite purchases of the month - at a significant discount, of course! The intent is to help you save money by detailing the strategy we used to find the item, where we ultimately purchased it, the price we paid and the savings. You can check out March’s score here.

This month’s deal comes from an outlet store. As mentioned in our shopping checklist, don’t sleep on outlet stores. There are some outlet malls across the country that include luxury brands including Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Versace and many more.

We were in Las Vegas for the Shoptalk conference and stayed a couple extra days to enjoy some nightlife and shopping. We hit the usual Las Vegas shopping venues including the Crystal Shops at Aria, the Forum Shops at Caesars and the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. And then we headed to the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets.

We found our luxe brand deal of the month at the Rag & Bone outlet store. This is one of our “go to” brands for casual wear. While many denim brands have gone a bit crazy with too many different fits, Rag & Bone has kept it relatively simple with approximately five different fits for both women and men. They offer many different finishes within those fits so there’s plenty of selection. They’ll even provide free tailoring (i.e. hem the jeans to your desired length) and ship the items to you.

The customer service at the Rag & Bone outlet stores is a notable step above many other outlet stores, so we were able to quickly find items in different colors, fits and sizes. Ultimately, we found a pair of jeans, a pair of shorts and a t-shirt that we were really excited about and with significant savings.

Final sale price - $213.60

Percent savings = 60%

Total savings = $320.40

The best part about this haul is that we can wear everything now. The jeans are a staple and the shorts and t-shirt are in season. Time spent shopping was minimal and we saved a whopping $320!
